Adelaide Anderson

This is Adelaide Anderson, a character I made for a oneshot campaign while visiting friends in Missouri. She's an evoker mage who specializes in fireworks!

I initially set out to make Jubilee from the X-Men, but she turned into something much cooler. Adelaide (named after a Ben Folds song) can manipulate the environment around her to create firework-like magic to alter her appearance, send up signal flares, or attack an enemy. Her explosions aren't as flashy as Jubilee's but she's not out to be flashy (in that department anyway).

She's a daughter of the head of a Shipping Company in Port Southgate in Rimelendor and a fairly happy go lucky girl. She's a rich girl, but she's not spoiled and loves meeting new people. Ever a charmer, she always gets what she wants.

Since the attack on Port Southgate, she got away from the Haridonof forces, but her parents weren't so lucky. They were unwilling to cooperate with the Haridonof government's rigid regulations on Shipping and therefore were taken into custody. At the very last moment, Adelaide's father shoved a bag full of gems in her hands, a jewelry box with family heirlooms in it (including a rather beautiful locket with a hand-painted picture of Adelaide in it that belongs to her mother), and pushed her out the back window of their home.

Through trial and tribulation and sheer force of will, Adelaide made her way out of the city and into the country side of Southgate where she met up with a group of adventurers to try and get back into the city.

The outline is a little icky since I used a "ms paint" equivalent program here on mah old Mac to clean it up a bit. I'm gonna get better at that. I just wanted to throw this up here to let everyone know I'm not dead.
